Following the news that Mrs Sheila Claridge, a teacher at The Mead for over 5 years, received an MBE in this year’s Queen’s birthday honours, we are thrilled to have received a letter from Alan Stubbersfield, Wiltshire Council’s Interim Director, Education and Skills.

Mr Stubbersfield wrote to our Executive Headteacher, Lyssy Bolton, to say:

Please pass on our congratulations to Sheila and your staff for their sustained commitment, hard work and success. This could not have been achieved without effective leadership and determination to remain focused on providing the very best education for pupils in your care. What with this and that, it seems the sky is not the limit for The Mead!

What a wonderful letter to have received. We are so pleased that Sheila’s efforts in touching the lives of numerous children vulnerable to underachievement in maths have been recognised so far and wide.
